Mark Rachels
pastor
Mark is the founding and co-pastor of Journey Church of Lexington. He and his wife founded Journey Church in July 24, 2011, along with Pastor Matthew Leonard and several other families. Mark has a Masters of Religion Degree from Liberty University Seminary. Mark provides oversight and leadership for Journey Church on a daily basis. When it comes to living a life for Christ; he truly believes all things are possible through Christ. Mark grew up in Davidson County where he married his wife Tammi in 1985.

Matt Leonard
Pastor
Matt is a co-pastor of Journey Church of Lexington. He has been a part of the church since its start in 2011. Matt has his Masters of Religion from Liberty University Seminary. He provides leadership for multiple areas of Journey Church with his focus being on the youth. Matt has a passion to reach the lost where they are and to show them the love of Christ. He grew up in Davidson County and has lived there for most of his life. He married Valerie in 2012 and they live in Lexington. They love to share adventures together and are always excited to see what God does next in their life and the life of the church. They both have a passion to reach the lost youth of Davidson County and are seeing God move through Journey Church's youth program, Reach.

Tammi Rachels
Jkids Director-252KIDS-GO35
Tammi is the Director of JKIDS and the Leader of 252KIDS (K-5th) and GO35. She is the wife of Pastor Mark Rachels, whom she married in 1985. Tammi has a special place in her heart for kids and loves sharing the love and hope of Jesus Christ with kids!

cINDY RITCHEY
OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR
Cindy is the Office Administrator at Journey Church. She has been with Journey since 2011. Cindy was born in Baltimore, MD and moved to North Carolina to attend High Point College. After college, she married her husband Paul. They live in Lexington and have two grown children, Charles and Catherine. Cindy loves being a part of a ministry that is dedicated to sharing God's love with others!

Priscilla Perez
worship leader
Priscilla is the worship leader here at Journey Church. She became the worship leader in 2021 after calling Journey her home church and serving on the praise team for two years. Priscilla studied music and graduated from Catawba College in 2017, which is where she met and fell in love with her husband, Ashton. Priscilla’s one desire is to know Jesus more and to point others towards Him not only through music but through her life and actions.

Ashley Hampton
First Look Leader
Ashley is the Leader of First Look (Nursery, Toddlers and Preschool). Ashley and her husband Drew reside in Davidson County with their three children. They enjoy spending time together outdoors embracing God's wonderful creation. Ashley has a passion to teach young children how amazing Jesus is and the love he has for them. She also enjoys working with families with special needs children in finding adaptations to best meet their needs.
