jkids - children's ministries

JKIDS is a safe and fun environment for kids Birth-5th grades. Through age-appropriate environments, kids engage with the gospel in ways that brings the Bible to life and makes it relevant for them right where they are!

Safety

Your child's safety is very important to us here at Journey Church. All JKIDS volunteers have successfully passed a background check and our Safety Team does a tremendous job of keeping our kids safe.

First-Time Guests

First of all, we are so happy that you are joining us at Journey Church!

Please let one of our greeters at the front door know that this is your first visit to Journey Church. They will direct you to one of our team members at the First Time Check-In to register your kids.

First Time Check-In is located to the right as you enter the front doors to Journey Church.

252KIDS (K-5th grade)

Part of Jkids children's ministry

We encourage you to watch the video with your kid each week via the Parent Cue app. The videos engage your child in an interactive, fun, and relevant time of worship and teaching with "Story Lab" for K-2nd and the "So & So Show" for 3rd-5th.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ) ABOUT JKIDS

  • On Sunday mornings, your kids will learn about God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit through incredible Bible stories.  The Bible is the most amazing book ever written, and we strive to bring its stories to life through creative activities and discussions that keep kids engaged. We want every child to love God 's Word and understand the value of applying it to their lives. We know they'll have fun each week as they learn about who God is through games, activities, small groups, and video teaching.

  • Absolutely! Our room environments and lessons are designed to help your child grow with kids in the same age group. We're passionate about supporting them in each stage of life, so we provide JKIDS options from birth-5th grade during all of our weekend experiences. Students in 6th-8th grade are invited to our Sunday morning youth experience, Launch Point. When you commit to attending the same service each week, your child will be surrounded by a small group full of familiar faces. As kids build relationships with leaders and other children, they gain the support and confidence to grow in their faith.

  • On your first visit, look for the JKIDS Check-In area (to the right as the you enter the main foyer). If you can't find it, one of our TEAM members will be happy to help you!  At JKIDS Check-In, you'll be welcomed by a JKIDS TEAM member eager to meet your family and show you how JKIDS works. To check your child in, we'll need some information at that time, including a family member's name, your child's name and birthday, your address, your phone number, and any special instructions. We'll be there every step of the way, right up to when you drop your kids off at the appropriate room, so feel free to ask questions!

  • In JKIDS, safety is one of our highest priorities. That's why we have a secure check-in system. Upon check-in, you'll receive matching identification stickers. Your child will need to wear their name tag sticker and you will need to keep the matching tag. After the service, you'll show the JKIDS leader your matching tag in order for your child to be released from their room. Every JKIDS volunteer leader is screened, participates in a background check, and receives appropriate training from our staff. Additionally, our hallways are monitored by our background-checked safety team during each experience to make sure your child stays safe and secure. IIn the event we need to contact you during the service, your unique code will appear on the screen in the auditorium.
